TA-Led Maths Intervention Programme | 7 Weeks | Reception & Year 1 Foundations

A complete seven-week TA-led maths intervention programme for pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.

It contains 35 detailed, ready-to-deliver one-to-one sessions covering essential Reception and Year 1 number foundations. Each 20-minute session includes a clear objective, resources, key vocabulary, a timed step-by-step teaching script, support, extension and an assessment point.

The programme covers counting, subitising, numeral recognition, composition to 5 and 10, practical addition and subtraction, teen numbers, number order, number lines, comparison, equal groups and counting in twos.

Also included are weekly overviews, an assessment tracker, TA recording sheet, next-step guidance, numeral cards, operation cards, five and ten frames, part-part-whole mat, number tracks and an equal-groups mat.

Suitable for KS2 pupils with significant gaps, pupils with SEND, or children in EYFS and KS1 needing additional consolidation. It can be followed as a standalone intervention or used alongside the Year 3 curriculum.
