This resource should take approximately 4 - 7 lessons. It includes a test which is imperative as students regularly think they understand the topic until they do a simple test. I have also attached an answer sheet to the test.

It is an explanation of the four layers of the Earth, convection currents, plate tectonics; different plate movements and the land-forms they form including convergent, divergent and conservative plate boundaries as well as hot spots.

Included in this resource are handouts for the students to stick into their books as a visual representation of what is being explained as it really helps the students to consolidate their learning.

There are also question cards for this topic in the form of a PowerPoint, all you do is make sure the size is standard (4:3), go to print, print both sides on short edge and print with card if possible. This is an excellent resource and a great way to get the students to quiz each other at the end of any lesson. It is something the students will look forward to at the end of the class and can take between 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
