The scheme caters for a high ability class and is challenging in areas.
Within the scheme (which is suitable for around 18 lessons) there is the following:
- A key word for each lesson which links to the objective
- A series of interactive starters and settlers to engage
- Extracts from the play to analyse
- Slides suitable for printing along with differentiated resource sheets
- Links to the GCSE new AQA specification (English Language Paper Reading and Writing/ English Literature Shakespeare)
- Texts which are challenging - extracts from 19th Century non-fiction articles and extracts from the novel Robinson Crusoe
- Reference to specific Assessment Objectives to prepare students for GCSE
- A range of writing and reading tasks, along with several speaking and listening tasks
- Assessment focus at the end of the scheme
- Example responses with success criteria
- Wider links to poetry and other authors
-Opportunities for homework
- Opportunities for individual/group research in reference to context
- Colourful and visual displays to put on the board
