Transition Support Lanyard Cards

These 8cm x 8cm visual cards are used to support learners with addition support needs during challenging transition periods. Pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder can find transition very challenging, using these cards can help to prepare them for a change in routine and from moving from one area to another, they should also be used during the transition to reduce stress and anxiety.

I use these with my learners attached to a keyring and on a lanyard so they are accessible to myself and my pupils at all times.

The symbols are used with kind permission from Mayer Johnson Boardmaker Symbols. These images are widely used by school, NHS and Speech and Language Therapists.
