The resource consists of a presentation, a worksheet and an extension worksheet. Answers are given to the worksheet and worked solutions to the extension worksheet are included in the presentation.
The lesson starts with a revision of converting fractions into percentages.
Examples of converting a change into a percentage increase and converting a change into a percentage decrease are given. An extended sequence of scaffolded mini white board examples follows. Students then do an exercise of converting changes into percentages.
A contextual example is shown. Students then do four similar questions.
