A teaching resource for photography teachers and facilitators that can be adapted from school up to university level, that has been developed from my twenty years of knowledge and experience as a photographer and visual arts teacher.
This session is ideal for students before they start a project in photography as it takes them through the creative process, its stages and then asks them to look at the work of others and identify each stage. Students can then begin to think about how they will approach their own ideas and projects.
Good for use alongside some of my handouts and helpsheets such as Workbook Contents and How To Research.
You are free to use this how is suits you best; delete bits, add bits change bits etc. Make sure to do a run through of it in presenter mode first so you can see how it works and so on.
This is a new resource made in July 2025 and by its nature of exploring artistic practice includes the work of other practitioners. These are all cited or hyperlinked where possible.
Do not resell or reuse (outside of a teaching scenario) any of the content of this lesson or powerpoint.
