**AQA GCSE Chemistry **(Trilogy and Separates)

Topic: Using Resources (New topic to specification)
Lesson: ** Reduce, reuse, recycle** AQA Chemistry

This lesson is aimed at GCSE students studying this new topic at GCSE. It is suitable for both separates and trilogy students.
I am not a lover of those ppts people make where there are about 50-odd slides, or have the objectives shown every second slide, so I’ve tried to not do either of those things!! A few of the slides are just graphics making a point and for students to discuss. I’ve included newspaper cuttings and I’ve embedded a video into the ppt so offset boredom and to mix things up a little. Some of the slides with quite a lot of text can be printed out and spread around the room for students to collect information to fill out their sheets. But if you don’t trust the class, they can get the info from the whiteboard. The choice is yours!

Included with this lesson are:
*** Powerpoint

  • Worksheet
  • Differentiated exam question Extension - for both HT and FT
  • Markschemes for exam questions
  • A sheet you can print out for students who may need more time to take down details from the ppt.
  • Word is used to make the sheets editable.**

I hope the lesson works well for you

When I am trying to decide whether or not to pay for a resource I think it is helpful to have a review, so here you go. <br /> A well planned lesson that has differentiation and is suitable for all abilities and the author has considered the learning styles of students who might need support and those who can be independent. Some nice activities and interesting discussion starters that will engage my students. Thank you.
