This two-part presentation is based on John Hattie's book, "Visible Learning for Teachers". It is intended as a professional development resource for teachers.

Part 1 is about teachers as "activators of learning" and explores Hattie's research on effect sizes in relation to teaching practices. It includes a hand-out which the author has developed, based on Hattie's work, and which the basis of a discussion activity during the presentation. The presentation is designed to be delivered over a 1 hour session.

Part 2 is about teachers as "evaluators of impact". Building on Part 1, it explores the idea that teachers needed to build strategies into lessons to evaluate the learning of everyone in the class. The presentation is designed to be delivered over a 1 hour session.
