Wesak Festival Lesson Buddhism

RE lesson on the Buddhist festival of Wesak. The lesson looks at when, why and how the festival is celebrated encouraging pupils to make links with their own views and activities. The lesson includes a display mantra resource as well as a lantern making activity.

This is an easy to follow power point lesson. The lesson has been planned to last for about 60 minutes however it is fully editable meaning that like all of our lessons, activities could be added, removed or changed. No further planning, printing or preparation is required before teaching this lesson.

No previous knowledge in this subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced Religious Education teacher. All of our lessons contain guidance on pronouncing challenging vocabulary in order to support teacher confidence.
