This 12-page pack supports children in learning action and describing words through discussion, vocabulary building, and creative expression.
Resource Includes:
• 6 Colour Slides – each page shows illustrations of children doing different actions (e.g., pushing, shopping, mowing). Use these as discussion prompts during circle time or whole-class teaching.
• 6 Black-and-White Worksheets – matching versions of the colour slides for children to colour in and label.
How to Use:
- Share and Discuss: Begin with the colour slides on screen or printed. Encourage children to talk about what the children are doing.
o Ask questions like: “What can you see?” “What are they doing?” “How do you know?”
o Introduce key vocabulary such as pushing, wheeling, mowing, shopping, walking, and more. - Word Matching or Writing: Children then complete the black-and-white worksheets by choosing the correct words provided or writing their own describing words.
- Colour and Decorate: After writing, children colour the pictures to personalise their work and support fine motor skills.
- Flashcards: Cut out the colour cards and laminate. Duplicate and use for matching games or display cards.
