Need an engaging way to practise equivalent fractions this winter? Then, you’ll love this hands-on craft to make a snowflake which can be hung as a decoration or use a wooden skewer to make it a hand-held snowflake.

**What’s included?
**

  • Easier level (grade 3) uses denominators of halves, thirds, and quarters.
  • Harder level (grade 3-4) uses denominators from two through 12, plus 100
  • Add string for a hanging decoration or a 20cm/8in wooden skewer for a hand-held version.
  • Easier level has three pages to choose from with two snowflakes on each (write the equivalent fraction, colour the squares to show an equivalent fraction, and compare fractions using >,=, and <).
  • Harder level has four pages to choose from: all of the above, plus two snowflakes on simplifying fractions.
  • Editable text (images/layout aren’t editable) so you can adapt this to your needs.

I hope your students enjoy practising their fractions with this craft.
