Worldchanging Artists - a 5 week block of art lessons for Years 3 and/or 4, to be worked on 2 sessions per week. This block covers Renoir, van Gogh, Picasso and Warhol. The resources include a 5 week medium term plan and suggestions for the teaching of each week. It also includes information sheets on each of the artists and also Impressionism, Cubism and Pop Art. Finally, there are powerpoint presentations on three of the artists, with pieces of their artwork, questions for discussion and stimuli for the children's own work.
The learning objectives are included in the plans, and differentiation is by outcome.
The displays that can be put up after these lessons have been some of the most commented-upon work I have ever exhibited!
