Year 4 Year 5 Tessellation Project REAL LIFE Maths Compliments the INSPIRE MATHS scheme 4B

Here is the next upload in my REAL LIFE maths planning helping children to understand the use and relevance of maths in the real world beyond their classroom. This is a one week project for either year 4 alone or a year 4/5 class. I ran this project alongside the INSPIRE maths scheme and National Curriculum with practice book and textbook 4B to make it a more exciting topic. For lower abilities you can provide a shape such as a hexagon which already definitely tessellates whereas for Mastery try to get children to combine polygon to create a complex shape that will tessellate.
