This PowerPoint has been created for KS3 classes to enable them to understand and engage in the devising process whilst learning about the style of Physical Theatre. It also teaches students about different types of stimuli and how to work from them (feel free to adapt these to suit the class' interests/ abilities).
This SOL enables students to make their own decisions about the structure and content of their work through exploring different stimuli and being allowed to create and take risks. It also develops their performance skills and understanding of different styles.
The lessons cover half a terms worth of work (7 lessons minimum but it could easily be extended).
Each lesson has a slide at the start, summarising the content of each lesson for teachers and students. Information and guidance on how to deliver the lesson is in the notes section of the PowerPoint. There is also a milestone at the end of the SOL for 'testing' students work and progress.

The devising techniques are good but not much in terms of physical theatre techniques and the resources are not included.
