Katie Morag Grandmother templates and associated resources

Katie Morag Grandmother templates and associated resources

Outline pictures of Grannie Island and Grandma Mainland in a Word Document. I created the pictures in Paint to use for a display of children’s writing. Second file includes writing lines - I needed to update my original version for this year’s group! Display file was set up to print on A3 - make sure you scale it to A4 if you don’t have an A3 printer available… The sentences and connectives are the ones I used in the writing lessons. For the display they were cut up and scattered around the board in between some of the Grandmothers the children had used for writing their own sentences. The resource has been updated with 4 extra files - two notebook and two Word files exploring connectives and compound sentences

Geography and Diversity- Urban and Rural Britain

Geography and Diversity- Urban and Rural Britain

I did global citizenship as my specialism and this powerpoint concentrates on geography and diversity. It focuses on urban and rural Britain. It can be adapted for KS1 and KS2. I have never used it with a class as we had to make a powerpoint for our specialism assessment in my third year. I hope you find it useful, and I will hopefully be using it in my new class this year, as I am now an NQT- yay! Let me know what you think x

Geography/History MTP

Geography/History MTP

This is a term’s MTP, covering geography unit 6 ‘investigating our local area’, and history unit 18 ‘What was it like to live here in the past?’, usually covered in year 3/4, although I’m teaching it to year 6. It it based upon the unit plan from QCA, but with some adaptations and some different activities included. The red part to the plan is a rough guide, as I need to discuss these parts with the other year 6 teacher before settling details.
