This bundle contains two booklets that has all the content you will need to deliver for R051 - Contemporary issues in sport and R052 - Developing sports skills. Each booklet contains all the content, regular knowledge checks, activities that link to the learning outcomes, exam questions (taken from previous exams) and key word Glossary. The R051 booklet contains 27 pages, and even includes a glossary of all the key words at the end. The R052 booklet is a 17 page booklet. These have been a fantastic resource for our department and have significantly enhanced outcomes.

This resource contains three extensive checklists for learning aim A,B & C that students can use to tick off sections of work as they complete them. It also has a teacher feedback section for every section which makes marking and providing feedback simpler. Finally there are sections in which students can respond to the feedback. I have used these with my current year 10 BTEC group and they have had a huge impact on the quality of students work.

The following worksheet is designed to challenge students to identify which long term effects match up with which system i.e. muscular system, cardiovascular system or respiratory system. Simply cut out the long term effects and give each student/group one of the sheets with an image of each system. They then have to try to match the effects up in the correct boxes. A popular and simple resource that really helps students differentiate between the body systems and learn the long term effects of exercise.

Attached are three worksheets based on the Components of Fitness for BTEC Sport Unit 1 (2018). There are three differentiated worksheets based on ability. The more able focuses on stretching and challenging their thinking. The worksheet for your less able provides additional support for them to work through the tasks. I have used these worksheets in an obsvervation lesson and got fantastic ouctomes. Lower ability worksheet - Simplified tasks & the addition of prompts and defenitions to help answer questions (greater focus on identifying describing skills) Middle ability - Questions focused on analysing and evaluating (should suit most KS4 learners) Higher Ability - Stretch and challenge provided through harder questions, less guidance and harder skills such as ranking and creating
