The Advertising Standards Authority is the UK independent regulator of advertising across all media. Our job is to make ads responsible, and that means legal, decent, honest and truthful. Ad:Check – Understanding advertising regulation, is our new resource for Citizenship, English, Media Studies and PSHE at Key Stage 3 & 4, offering teachers a range classroom activities for students: from judging real examples of ads to decide whether or not the complaints are justified to developing an ad campaign. The resource also enables students to explore some topical and controversial issues within the context of their rights and responsibilities, as citizens of a diverse and democratic society.
