Ideal for cover lessons or to be used in between schemes, end of year etc. This resource is on PowerPoint and can be easily edited to suit your group. It has a video link from the Tate and there are questions that students answer based on the video. There is an extension task that requires students wrap their own object and draw from this, so drawing skills can be built upon. This can be shortened or changed to focus on additional media or to suit mixed abilities.

This is a great stand-alone lesson that can be adapted to suit your needs. It can easily be given as a cover lesson or to help develop students their skills in drawing from observation and developing a colour study. It is inspired by the artist Sarah Graham and her photo realist artwork of sweets and candy. Students will need to have understanding of making and using a view finder in order to complete the activity.
