It shows the carcinogens found in cigarettes and how they affect the body.
Gruesome pictures will make the students think about the problems - beware squeamish students.
This is a 13 slide power point covering the specification for AS AQA Biology. It would also be helpful for OCR AS Biology spec.
It covers what enzymes are, their structure and properties, rate of reaction, activation energy, effects of temp, pH, enzyme concentration, substrate concentration on enzyme action, finishing with competitive and non-competitive inhibition.

AS Biology water - a full 10 slide power point covering all aspects of the New AQA AS biology syllabus but also covers OCR/ Edexcel AS biology water unit too.
Power point includes easy to understand text, scientific terminology and bright colourful diagrams and pictures to aid understanding.
Items covered include structure of a water molecule, charges involved, why water is polar, a metabolite, has a high latent heat of vaporisation, can act as a buffer to resist changes in temperature, a good solvent and about the cohesion between the water molecules. This ppt covers the main food groups, and the tests required to test for proteins, fats, starch and sugars.
There are excellent sheets especially for KS3 students or GCSE SEN/Foundation students. They are fill in the gaps, draw diagrams and enter results. The sheets follow the ppt and can be used with or without the presentation.
I have used them with KS3 classes and with GCSE SEN/Foundation classes, as easy to follow, understand and complete.
Sheets can be stuck into their books at the end of the lesson.
