Various sentence starters used in my Y3 class to support children’s explanations of Maths understanding. Created on speech bubbles which can be added to displays as introduced.

An excel tracker document to track children’s reading and writing of common exception words from Year 1 through to Year 3. Great to use as a baseline for Y3 spellings, to show areas to target for individuals and groups of children. Fully editable. Children’s names can be added.

I created this with my class last year - they told me their favourite characters and their phone numbers, and then created a phone book. This really helped the children with exploring how different types of phones work, and also with recognising and matching numbers. Also included is a notepad-style document for the children to take messages from their phone calls.

Created for my class this year, includes fact posters about a tawny owl, barn owl, little owl, long-eared owl and short-eared owl. Editable posters so you can add/edit information.

3 per page number cards 0-20. Good size for small hands, and can be used throughout the setting in lots of different ways. Great for pegging to washing lines or adding amounts to.

9 picture phoneme frames to support children with recognising the difference between ch sh and th. Can be printed as sheets to be used in continuous provision, or can be printed several to a page and used with a small group intervention.

Used this template in EYFS for setting home learning activities - Phonics consolidation tasks, must and could tasks, as well as pre-learning for the following week.

Set of feelings posters linked to ‘Inside Out’, which include children’s ideas about what they can do when they are feeling like that. Good visual strategy reminders for children.

Black and white polkadot classroom resource labels. Download includes 4 per page and 8 per page labels. Great for adding photos of resources as well as the words. Can also be used as a shelf label, so children knew where to put resource baskets away when they are finished playing with them.

Uppercase and lowercase alphabet on apples. Great for making a display, and useful for uppercase and lowercase matching activities as a point of reference for self-checking.

Grids to allow children to practise their times tables. First grid is in order from 1-12, and the second grid has the times tables along the top mixed up. Can be used as an intervention activity, morning task activity, or independent activity.

When we introduced milk into the classroom, I created milk passwords - the children would choose a word card from a pot, read the word and get their milk. Great challenge for children, linked closely to their current learning in Phonics to reinforce their blending and word reading skills. Words can be edited in the document, and can be changed as often as needed. Could also be used for other reinforcement activities - sound recognition, name reading, number recognition, number order.

Writing booklet that can be personalised with children’s names, and pictures of things they would like to write about. Can be stapled together to create a booklet to show progression in writing skills, or put into continuous provision for children to access daily.

Homework grid that can be edited to suit all year groups. Children can choose bigger or smaller activities to complete depending on how busy their week is, and saves teachers time by setting home learning activities at the beginning of the term only.

Chart I have introduced into my Year 3 classroom this year, but have previously used in EYFS as well. Breaks the day down for those children who struggle with listening or behaviour for a whole day - can celebrate the small successed by breaking the day into sessions. I use it to review with the child at the end of the lesson, and either write what went well, or use a sticker. Great to reflect with the child, as they then feel they can redeem their behaviour in the next session, rather than it carrying on for the whole day.

Have used this chart with EYFS children who find separating from their parent difficult in the mornings. It is a great distraction, they enjoy choosing the sticker they would like to stick onto their chart, and settles them well in the mornings. Also shows progress over a period of weeks, which children like to share with their parents.

Used these alongside our traffic light system. All children who stayed on the green face all week got a certificate at the end of the week - they could collect different pokemon each week on the different certificates. Also includes a tracker document to keep a check of who has taken which certificate.

Created this tracker document which I could highlight as I covered topics, to make sure that everything was taught throughout the year. Includes all 17 areas of the EYFS curriculum, and also exceeding statements.
