An innovative and creative teacher, with a passion for driving artistic progress while using current trends to meet core learning objectives. Sheryl has taught on 3 continents and has a great knowledge of folk music from China, South Africa, Europe and UAE. She is a friendly and kind teacher who creates good communication with colleagues and students. Students are encouraged to use games and innovative technology in music lessons. This initiative always fosters engagement and good progress. Sheryl achieves excellent exam results, and puts on successful choir performances and shows including "The Lion King", "Showboat", "Matilda" . She promotes student enrollment and retention through targeted school ad campaigns and regular concert performances. Sheryl is an active member of the Symphony Choir of Cape Town, Rondebosch Writers Club and the Trails Club. Published tutors include: Fun with Recorder and A Word, a Note, a Brush.
