Halloween Monster Name Practice Activities

This activity packet comes with Monster Name Practice sheet and Monster Build-A-Name. For Monster Name Practice, write children’s names on the ribbon strip. Next, let children build their names with magnet letters. Let children stamp their names with letter stamps. Finally, let children write their names; they may use crayons, markers, or pencils. Monster Name Practice comes in colorful and black and white options. Monster Build-A-Name is editable. For Monster Build-A-Name, edit the letters to match the letters in your students name. Please, only edit the letters; do not claim any of the work in this packet as your own. I have used Pond Free Me for the font for the letters because it closely resembles handwriting that would be familiar to children. You may change the font to anything you wish if you do not want to use this one. You may also choose to change the size and color of the font as well. Click on the letter on the candy, and you should be able to edit the letter. If you have never edited in Word and can not get it to work, please email me. I will explain it to you more. My email is in the ecplayandlearn@gmail.com. I have provided sixteen candies for letters for names. You may re-edit, and you may make more copies if you need more than sixteen letters. After you have all the letters that you need printed out, cut out the monster and the candies. Tell the children that the baby monster needs candy; tell them that the candies will spell their name. Have the children find the candies with the letters that are in their names. Have the children put the letters of their name in order. Have the children tape the candy letters together. The letters should be displayed up and down. I have examples for you to reference. Once the candy letters are taped together, ask the children to spell their names. Thank you for taking a look at my resource. I hope you find it helpful. Don’t forget to leave feedback! I greatly appreciate all feedback. These posters will brighten up your room, and the posters and bookmarks will help children be calm and mindful. The bookmarks come in coloured or black and white. Children can colour the black and white version for some creativity! The posters come in four different options. I have provided so many choices for you! Choose from green with white polka dots frame, chalkboard background, chalkboard border, or burlap border. The polka dot frame is lovely! The chalkboard background is the best in my opinion, but it will use a lot of ink. If you can splurge on ink to decorate your classroom, go for the chalkboard background! If you want the chalkboard look without using so much ink, the chalkboard border is perfect! The burlap border is very lovely as well; it will work well if your classroom is decorated in a natural, rustic theme. The burlap border is also perfect if you are ink conscious; it will take less ink! Laminate pages. Cut out posters and bookmarks. Display posters in your classroom. I would suggest these mindfulness posters be displayed in a quiet corner/ quiet area. For the black and white bookmarks, allow children to colour the bookmarks before laminating and cutting them. Give the bookmarks to the children to use when reading.
