A pptx which focuses on Reviews for transactional writing Uses empire online's review of the Greatest Showman and the British Council review on the Theory of everything. One review is more detailed than the other. One is much more simplistic but gives details needed for a review with questions. Also gives a writing frame for writing their own review.

This resource has been created to encourage Key Stage 3 to read more. It is reminiscent of the Passport to Literacy certificate that was used previously but has been changed. Students are encouraged to read a novel which is suitable to their ability and then complete or more activities. If they can do so they receive a certificate to say they have completed the challenge. Could be adapted or changed to suit the students in front of you.
