This resource is incredibly helpful for anyone studying An Inspector Calls at English Literature GCSE. I achieved a grade 9 in English Lit and made this document as part of revision. It covers many themes, identifying three or four quotes which are relevant to each theme and all quotes are analysed in depth, at top grade level. Social context is also included throughout the document - a key component of an essay answer if you are aiming for top grades. I worked hard to find some quotes that could be applied to multiple themes, in order to minimise how many you must remember. This document is collection of ideas surrounding the themes of poverty/social injustice, redemption and family. I collated these ideas over many months from lots of different resources, such as class work, different websites, other people’s essays and critical analysis. This is the resource I made to prepare for every single poetry essay which could come up in my english literature exam, where I achieved close to full marks. This document is 11 pages long and contains an essay plan for every single one of the 15 poems in the AQA pre-1900 love-poetry anthology, with distinct & unique points to make in essay and quotes which correspond to these points.
