I spent hours making revision resources for my exams, following the specification line by line, to make sure all my resources included every bit of knowledge needed to achieve top grades. I hope these resources can help you revise effectively and save you time, I know I'd have loved to have these resources available to me.

A*+ Othello Model Essay Paragraphs

(0)
This document contains very, very in-depth essay paragraphs for Shakespeare’s Othello. These essays contain my own unique personal insights, and extremely unique and impressive analysis that I got from books I studied from the library providing critical analysis of Othello, many different websites as well as my english-literature lessons at school. I spent so many hours working on perfecting points and wording them into incredibly detailed and well structured paragraphs, which are at an A* level, with A* analysis and historical context. After spending hours working on these paragraphs, I then memorised them and the quotes and analysis they contain - I genuinely believe that this is what secured me a close to full mark score. This document provides so much analysis, it’s everything you’d need and can apply to so many different types of questions - I purposely planned paragraphs that could apply to almost any theme and would always use these same points and analysis in any essay that came up - including my actual exam. This document contains so much, it is 4571 words. This document contains paragraphs relevant to: Flaws in society cause of the tragedy – sins, jealousy/Iago’s plot & use of sins Misogyny used to fuel Iago’s plot, social convention in terms of misogyny means that his lies instantly believed Contrast between Othello at start and end of play in terms of his insecurities/ Victim of himself Desire as dangerous/ Othello’s misogyny and violence (alternative to him as a victim) Iago’s unique view of love and a mini section at the end on Bianca’s role in the play (just in case it came up) Please note: The blurred/ crossed out font in the preview image is for selling purposes only, the document will be perfectly clear. The preview only shows a snippet of one of many paragraphs.

An Inspector Calls Themes

This resource is incredibly helpful for anyone studying An Inspector Calls at English Literature GCSE. I achieved a grade 9 in English Lit and made this document as part of revision. It covers many themes, identifying three or four quotes which are relevant to each theme and all quotes are analysed in depth, at top grade level. Social context is also included throughout the document - a key component of an essay answer if you are aiming for top grades. I worked hard to find some quotes that could be applied to multiple themes, in order to minimise how many you must remember. The document is in table format, with a quote in one column, which is then analysed in the next column, including detailed analysis of singualr words, phrases, as well as identifying language features and imbedding context. Although I made this document with themes in mind, it is also excellent for learning about the individual characters int he play, their key quotes and also discusses many of their traits. The themes that I’ve covered in this document include: Responsibility, Age/ Generation Gap, Gender, Capitalism, Socialism, Social Class, Wealth & Materialism I spent hours making this and would have loved to have been able to purchase a document like this in such depth, I hope this is helpful! Note: The blurred font in the preview image is for selling purposes only, the document will be perfectly clear. Also note that the image in the preview is just for one theme, the document includes a table of quotes, like the one in the preview, for every single theme listed above

This resource is a case study of Rio de Janeiro, this study is needed for the part of the GCSE AQA Geography specification which states 'A case study of a major city in an LIC or NEE'. This includes: • the location and importance of the city, regionally, nationally and internationally • causes of growth: natural increase and migration • how urban growth has created opportunities: • social: access to services – health and education; access to resources – water supply, energy • economic: how urban industrial areas can be a stimulus for economic development • how urban growth has created challenges: • managing urban growth – slums, squatter settlements • providing clean water, sanitation systems and energy • providing access to services – health and education • reducing unemployment and crime • managing environmental issues – waste disposal, air and water pollution, traffic congestion. And an example of how urban planning is improving the quality of life for the urban poor The document is in a table format, which I found useful when revising, as this layout made it easier for me to remember the facts and the section that they are relevant to. Please note that the blurred font in the preview image is for selling purposes only, the document will be perfectly clear when purchased.

A Christmas Carol Themes

A Christmas Carol Themes

(0)
This document is collection of ideas surrounding the themes of poverty/social injustice, redemption and family. I collated these ideas over many months from lots of different resources, such as class work, different websites, other people’s essays and critical analysis. I have provided multiple points that could be made in an exam for each of these themes and then alongside these have included many quotes and really in-depth context. This document focuses on ideas in A Christmas Carol, the intentions of Dickens when writing the novel and how the ideas in the novel link to the time in which it is set and written. Historical context is a key component of essays, that should be embedded throughout, in order to achieve top grades. When discussing the themes, I’ve included many quotes throughout my discussion, however please note this document is not about language analysis, instead it’s focused on the themes and points that could be argued in an exam and that I planned to put forward in my GCSEs (however, the document does contain some brilliant language analysis in a few areas) This document contains complex and sophisticated ideas and would be particularly useful to students that are already working at grades 6/7 and aspiring to reach the 8/9 bracket, bur are already quite confident in analysing language at word-level. Please note: The blurred font in the preview is for selling purposes only, the document will be perfectly clear when downloaded this document is: 2,866 words, 6 pages (the preview only shows a small part of the document)
