I used this to remind the children that it is important to think about all of the sounds they can hear. They enjoyed sorting the pictures and then finding the missing sounds. The missing sounds are a mixture of cvc words and the beginning of phase 3. THESE FILES ARE PUBLISHER DOCUMENTS!

A revision booklet aimed at year 2 Middle or lower ability. Could be sent home or used in class. Focus is on punctuation, correct word, past/present tense. The word document is just to give a preview.

The Phonics Olympic pack was used for children to practice for their Phonics Olympics at school. It was used on the run up to the phonics screening. I used this for year 2 pupils that are to retake the test but it would be suitable for year 1. The certificate was given to each child who took part. With the help of some little trophies from the pound shop this created lots of enthusiasm which was the aim! Word document for preview only. Publisher document is much better.

Large pirates lettering for above the board and the title ‘Do you like argh writing?’ There are captions and a frame for either creating acptions or as a frame for writing to display.

A set of 10 dinoaurs with their name, how to say it and what it mean. There is a publisher document of you would like to add more dinosaurs or change the font. Or I have added a PDF if you just want the 10 with my font.

I used this with my Year 1 LA English set. The display pack has question mark and full stop cards that they held up to show if they thought it was a question or a statement. We talked through the questions and statements and ten used the worksheet to tick question or statement. then the children wrote their own questions for a pirate visitor.

I used this for a week of sentences for a year 1 LA set. This has the week plan, smart notebooks and book pictures. This was for an Africa topic and we used it to compare it to Little Red Riding hood. This was a great story that the children enjoyed and liked to write about.

There are large labels for each sound and then 2 sheets of words. I have used this as an activity to sort the words by which ur/er/ir sound they contain. The children then stuck the words to the wall.

The children will have 2 sheets of words to sort by putting them under the correct sound label. They can be used at a table or stuck on the wall as a display.

This is a booklet that I am sending home for my phonics group. They cover all the sounds that we have worked on so far. It will be a holiday challenge to review the sounds before the phonics screening.

For every sound that I teach I put the book pictures in their phonics book to use for spellings and sentences. Then I use the reading activity to assess if they can use that sound to read. They read real and fake words to try and find the correct word.

This is the 2nd set of flashcards. They have items of food and toys for after school club, shapes, farm animals, jungle animals, vehicles, items that are used at lunchtime (cutlery and tray) and toilet, sink, hand dryer and hand wash. With the assessment grids that allows you to tick and date when words can be used.

I laminated these and use them on my EAL display. There is a part for weather where the children have to stick on a weather symbol each day. Then a today is, yesterday was and tomorrow will be section. The children fill them in each day. Then there are 2 words of the week parts to keep the display easy to edit and keep relevant. Also 2 what we are working on so that you can write what it is that you are working on.

This set is the first set that I use in intervention to get the basics. This set includes colours, some animals, food (healthy and unhealthy), emotions and items around school (uniform, classroom furniture and equipment) and weather. The assessment grids were used to tick and date when they could say the words in English.

3 A4 sheets on publisher. One each for objects, pictures, numbers and symbols. I used this on my numeracy display following a days training on the CPA approach.
