A comprehensive outline of 22 key geography command words suitable for KS3, GCSE and A Level. Can be used for a classroom display board or for general decoration to help students understand the meaning of command words.
A sheet containing a range of questions for students to complete while watching the documentary ‘Fashion’s Dirty Secrets’ by Stacey Dooley. Resource includes an answer sheet with all the correct answers so that students can self or peer assess once they have finished watching it.
Included is a model 20/20 mark answer for question 1.4 from the June 2022 paper: ‘‘Assess the impacts of world trade in a food commodity and/or a manufactured
product on your life and the lives of people across the globe.’’
The example used in the question is bananas which is a popular case study example to use for this part of the specification.
You may want to use this resource with students to break down appropriate AO1 and AO2 information or enahance examples of what could be explored in lesson.

The PLC might need to be tailored to your chosen case studies. Inside, the PLC makes reference to Coca Cola for the TNC study and bananas for the food or manufacturing commodity.
Attached is an example of a model answer for the 20 mark question (2.4 from the 2019 AQA A Level exam paper for ‘Changing Places’: ‘’For either your distant or near place, evaluate the extent to which external forces are effective in influencing and creating specific place meanings’’

This is a synoptic question which requires students to link together elements of part A and B of the course.
The distant place referenced in this essay is Detroit, USA.

With reference to a TNC assess the extent to which you agree with this statement.’’

The place referred to in this response is Stratford (east London) and includes reference to several sources which you might want to include in your own place study of Stratford. This essay can be used for revision or to provide to students to show example work.
