I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Equally Likely Events - with answers

This is a basic worksheet covering the introduction to Probability I wished to stress the basic facts that examiners expected candidates to know, such as how many cards in a standard deck? which letters are vowels as well as number properties. So I created this worksheet to cover as many of these ideas as possible. I have found it useful for the introduction of Probability and also some revision at foundation level. ****Answers are included.

Answers are included. please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Small Angle Approximations + answers

A very underrated topic in most text books - this PDF covers all that you will need to teach / learn the small angle approximations at ‘A’ level. I have approached the topic from various angles to ensure a lot of variability in the style of question and it’s focus - i have not combined it with any other expansions though. I have finished it off with a couple of questions involving the Sine rule and Cosine rule which are a little bit more challenging. Answers are included. Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

The Equation of a Line - Powerpoint Presentation

(0)
This is two Powerpoint presentations, one for foundation level / Key stage 3 and the second is for higher level - they all show a line and asks for the equation of the line. In the first presentation he y intercept is always given so this reduces the it to Foundation Level at GCSE or Key Stage 3. The second presentation is higher level only as the intercept is not given and it includes questions involving perpendicular lines. There are over 30 straight line graphs, different scales have been used as well as negative gradients, vertical and horizontal lines. Great as a starter - slides can be removed if you wish.
