A colour matching game for EYFS with a Button theme. There are 3 pages each showing pairs of colour buttons. Children can cut them out and make pairs. Laminate the buttons and they can be re used. ‘Unravelling the Unusual’ is a unit of work for Key Stage 1 children using a collection of black and white picture resources. There are 10 pages, with 12 pictures on each page. Each picture is unusual in some way and can be classed in different ways such as silly, useless or wrong. A fun activity linked to both Animals and Bible Stories. There are 20 pairs of animals to prepare for their journey on Noah’s Ark. One of each pair is in colour. The other is black and white. Children colour these in to make matching animal pairs. They can also trace over the dotted lines of the names of the animals. When all of the animals are coloured, children can cut them out and play matching games such as Snap and Pairs. Print on thin card for best results. There are also cards to colour in and cut out for Noah and Noah’s Ark.

This resource links to your Rainforest topic work and Animals and Plants. There are 20 colour pictures of animals and plants that can be found in the Rainforest for children to find. On sheet 1, the children read the words and match them to the pictures. They can then write the corresponding numbers next to the pictures. On sheet 2, children can write the names of the pictures on the list provided.
