Based on the QCA scheme of work Unit 9 ‘What was it like for children in the Second World War?’, I have created some fact sheets including photos and follow up activities. Set includes 4 fact sheets and 4 worksheets. How was it like to be an evacuee? Worksheets: • Explain why were children evacuated and what was it like to be an evacuee (use picture clues) • Diary of a Young Evacuee. Imagine you are an evacuee and write diary extracts. • Questionnaire- What was it like to be a child living in this area in WW2? to use for interviewing someone in your locality that was a child during the war.
