The Book Thief - Creative Writing-Story Openings- Lesson 02/15

Lesson 02/15 This unit looks at supporting KS3 students in beginning a piece of creative writing by reading and analysing story openings from a range of literature, both classic and modern. Lesson 02 looks at The Book Thief and focuses on the skills of writing a first person narrative and addressing the reader. Optional Sp&L homework is included as well, aiming to get students comfortable presenting to a class. All lessons include: Nicely laid out PPT which is clear and easy to follow Lesson objectives, both CORE and CHALLENGE Key terminology for the lesson All resources needed for the lesson Examples where required Sentence starters where necessary Starter, main and plenary tasks Full SoW is available in my shop for a discount.
