A4 size colouring pages of the elements of the periodic table, suitable for ages 11 to 16. Each page features an element symbol to colour, superimposed upon unique geometric designs. Each sheet also contains the atomic number and atomic mass of the element. . There is a total of 118 pages, one for each of the known elements of the periodic table. The pages are provided as a pdf. . The colouring pages can be used as either lesson or homework activities and once completed they are ideal for constructing a large scale periodic table classroom display. . • students will automatically memorise the symbols • excellent for display work • good for group work . About Symbol Search Puzzles The Symbol Search puzzles are similar to wordsearch puzzles but instead of searching for words, the student searches for instances of a sequence of symbols. . The sequences used in these puzzles are the element groups of the periodic table. for example, group I – Li Na K Rb Cs Fr. . Each puzzle has five instances of the correct sequence – the sequences can be displayed horizontally (to the left or right) or vertically (upwards or downwards) or diagonally. The student has to discover the five instances in each puzzle. . There are puzzles for all of the groups I to VIII. . The puzzles and their solutions are provided as a pdf file for printing.
