I used this to show students how much they have improved and come on since starting High School. I started the year making paper chains with their strengths. After they completed this they added to it and their confidence improved massively!

It will need to be adapted for this year's contestants.

Words of the week for a display.

Differentiated resources for writing a diary entry for a day in the life of a police officer. Also, design a new police uniform and label with adjectives.

A third and final lesson on the poem by Walter de la Mare. This includes pupils using their imagination to write about the Traveller. Pupils also draw the inside of the house.

A follow on lesson from a previous uploaded resource on Walter de la Mare's the Listeners poem. This comes with a longer task for pupils to complete.

The students absolutely loved this last year so I thought I would share. You can get more into the theme by getting them to wear Elf hats. I am going to try that this year! Can be adapted for higher grades.
