About Conisborough College
It is an extremely exciting time to be working at Conisborough College. The last few years have seen a period of great change. The school has made huge progress and we are looking forward to an extremely exciting future. We are a popular and heavily oversubscribed school. Our aim is to be an outstanding school that serves our local community. Conisborough College is a purpose made college with a faculty system which was built in 2009 and our students enjoy access to state of the art facilities. Students benefit from immersive technology, Wi-Fi internet access and visualizers.
We are involved in a partnership with Colfe’s, an independent school in Greenwich. This partnership will further extend the opportunities available to our students and breaks new ground in terms of a partnership between the private and public sector. We want all our students to develop the capabilities and skills that will help them to succeed in the work place. The curriculum at Conisborough College is broad and balanced and is designed to engage and challenge students at all academic levels. We have close links with local sixth form colleges and students who achieve excellent grades at GCSE may be offered a scholarship to Colfe’s to study at AS/A2level.
The safety and well-being of children is borne in mind at all times by members of staff and throughout the recruitment and selection process of new staff. Conisborough College follows strict safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with the Department for Education. Our school has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere but is also purposeful and we expect high standards of courtesy and behaviour from everyone.
We are committed to developing an environment in which pupils are safe, happy and successful. As a multi-cultural and inclusive school we want to see pupils of all backgrounds achieve. We value the contribution of all races and cultures to the development of a rich cultural, happy and harmonious environment. Learning is at the centre of our daily actions and dialogue. It is recognised that the staff of the school are its most important resource and as a school we have a commitment to the professional development of our teachers and support staff. Support and training is an entitlement for all staff as we encourage the development of skills with opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities. Every member of staff has an important role to play in securing the best possible outcomes for our students. I hope you will be interested in taking your enquiries further and becoming a part of our team.
Yours sincerely Dr S. Mundy Headteacher
