About Dixons Newall Green Academy

Dixons Newall Green Academy

Dixons Newall Green Academy is a newly established secondary free school located in the Wythenshawe district of Manchester, England. The school opened its doors to Year 7 students in September 2023, and will grow year by year until it serves students aged 11 to 16 by 2027. The school's existing site, which was previously Newall Green High School, will undergo extensive renovation to ensure a modern and conducive learning environment for students.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a culture of success from the ground up, through the implementation of strict and fair protocols, a relentless focus on results, and the provision of exceptional teaching and support.

As a member of the Dixons Newall Green community, you will have access to the following:

  • The incorporation of the best practices from successful academies within the Dixons Academies Trust, as well as those from other schools, both domestically and nationally
  • A values-driven approach to education, with a clear vision and a focus on results, strict routines, and strong relationships at all levels
  • Weekly coaching opportunities to support professional growth
  • A focus on staff wellbeing and organisational health
  • The opportunity to shape and cultivate the school's culture from its inception

Dixons Academies Trust

The Dixons Academies Trust is a family of 16 schools in Bradford, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester: 3 primaries, 10 secondaries, 2 all-through and one standalone sixth form. We are committed to making a difference where it matters most:

  • Values driven
  • Over 30 years of challenging educational and social disadvantage
  • Ambitious for every child and highly inclusive
  • Always in the top 5 nationally for progress at secondary
  • Committed to recruiting a diverse workforce
  • Exceptional colleagues will support you to be your best
  • Low staff turnover

We establish high-performing non-faith academies which maximise attainment, value diversity, develop character and build cultural capital. By the age of 18, we want every student to have the choice of university or a high quality apprenticeship.
