About King's High School - Warwick
King’s High is an independent GSA girls’ school comprising around 600 pupils, ages of 11 to 18 years. Judged ‘Outstanding’ in its most recent (2011) ISI inspection report, King’s High has an enviable academic reputation coupled with an unusually wide range of extracurricular activities. The school delivers an outstanding education to girls by offering them the best of all worlds; single-sex teaching in the classroom and, as part of the family of schools which make up the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation, a constantly evolving programme of collaborative and extracurricular activities with Warwick School and Warwick Preparatory School.
King’s High is an unashamedly academic school, welcoming girls of a relatively wide range of academic ability at age 11 and proudly adding significant value to their achievements by the time they reach 18. The 2013 results at both GCSE and A Level are impressive: GCSE: 100% pass rate with 80.2% at A*/A. A Level: 100% pass rate with 87.6% at A*-B. King’s is ranked 50 in The Times 2013 Secondary Schools League Tables. Most girls gain places at their first choice university, many of which belong to the Russell Group, and this year ten girls have received offers from Oxford or Cambridge.
The School aims to help each girl to develop as an individual in the heart of a caring and supportive community. Our School motto, “Aspire, Achieve, Enjoy,” recognises the enjoyment and fun to be had at King’s. The standard of music, drama, sport and art is exceptionally high. We encourage and motivate each girl to discover and develop to the full the talents, interests and abilities that will play such an important part in ensuring that she is equipped to live a fulfilling life, at school and throughout her future. We aim to nurture independent, capable, confident and spirited young women, intellectually equipped to make a real contribution to 21st century life.
