About Laurus Cheadle Hulme
Laurus Cheadle Hulme (LCH) is a non-selective, non-denominational Free School. It opened in September 2018, initially providing 210 Year 7 places.
A further seven Year 7 forms will be added each academic year, until we become a thriving 1,050-pupil secondary school from Year 7 through to Year 11 by September 2022. Our students are housed in a purpose-built building with access to state-of-the-art facilities and overlooking Bruntwood Park, with our Year 11 students progressing to the Sixth Form based at Cheadle Hulme High School. We share the same site as Cheadle Hulme Primary School.
The school is run by the Laurus Trust and replicates the outstanding education offered by the trust’s founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), based in Stockport. CHHS is a hugely oversubscribed school and was recently named in the Sunday Times ‘Parent Power’ top comprehensive schools in the country.
Cheadle Hulme is a pleasant residential suburb on the edge of the Borough of Stockport, eleven miles south of the centre of Manchester. The location enjoys the advantages of proximity to the open countryside of Cheshire and the Peak District and the cultural and sporting activities of a major city.
If you want to work in a highly ambitious and successful school and believe you have the vision and commitment to join our team, then we would like to hear from you.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
