About Oporto International School

The Oporto International School is a co-educational English medium school for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Form 12. The school has three sections, Lower School, Middle and Upper School, each of which is lead by its own Director.

CLIP offers a challenging, coherent programme of academics, arts, sports and service, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, through which all learners’ needs are supported, their perspectives sought and respected and their qualities valued and nurtured; all learners make annual learning progress through the achievement of specific, appropriate learning targets; all learners have multiple opportunities to succeed and to secure their best future. CLIP follows a modified English National curriculum in the Lower School and Middle, and writes IGCSE, AICE and A Level examinations in the Upper School. The Middle school has an innovative curriculum with Learning Through Research and Design as a cornerstone of its interdisciplinary educational programme. The vast majority of students from CLIP successfully enter universities in Portugal and the UK. The school also offers a wide variety of after school activities and holiday programmes through the CLIPClubs that are run at the school. The extra-curricular needs of the students are serviced by very modern arts, technology and sporting facilities.
