Values and Vision
The Platanos College motto dictates that “attitude determines altitude”, with the school believing that the former is the key ingredient in attainment. Its belief that every learner can achieve beyond their expectations is reinforced by the high expectations it places on all members of its community.
A diverse and wide-ranging school, the Platanos College caters for pupils of all abilities. Its specialisms are in business and enterprise. It is also a member of the Mayor’s London Schools Gold Club for excellent schools.
“All students make outstanding progress in a wide range of subjects including English and mathematics. Excellent achievement is based on students’ quick acquisition of a wide range of valuable learning skills. These, which include the development of highly accomplished skills in literacy and numeracy, are central to the rapid progress they make in their learning.”
