Values and vision
The Gregg School’s vision is for students to be: engaged with learning and the life of the school, intellectually curious, aspiring, ambitious, pro-active and ready to participate. Young people are encouraged to: take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour; demonstrate respect, compassion and tolerance for others; show independence in and control over their learning; be autonomous, accountable, evaluative and resourceful as an individual. Teachers want to produce emotionally intelligent young people who display maturity in all relationships.
“Pupils are well educated in accordance with the school’s aims to maximise their potential and to develop a thirst for knowledge and the skills needed for lifelong learning. Pupils’ achievement in curricular and extra-curricular activities is at least good and often excellent. The pupils’ personal development is excellent. It is nurtured by the caring, respectful relationships and strong sense of community within the school and fulfils the aims of the school. The governance of the school is excellent.”
