About Tiffin School
Tiffin School is one of the foremost boys' selective schools in the country with a large Sixth Form which is going mixed from 2019.
Tiffin is a great place to teach – it is a friendly, dynamic school where all can thrive and staff are highly valued. Conveniently situated near the centre of the beautiful London Borough of Kingston upon Thames, it is very easy to reach. Our students are bright, able and eager to learn, and we have an environment of excellent behaviour, allowing the opportunity to teach your subject to a high level.
Tiffin is classified as outstanding, and achieves excellent results at A Level and GCSE, as well as great success in achieving places for our students at the top universities. However, Tiffin is about far more than academic success; our aim is to develop the whole person. Tiffin offers a wide range of superb opportunities for its students in our attempt to fulfil our vision of inspiring students to ‘engage, aspire and excel’. Sport, Music, the Performing Arts, the House system, and an extensive programme of trips, provide regular opportunities for the students, and are offered by a staff that enthusiastically support this unique provision of co-curricular activities in a state school.
The move to make the Sixth Form mixed, the introduction of Google Chromebooks to all pupils and staff, and the significant recent capital expenditure in new buildings and facilities, all demonstrate our commitment to constantly develop the school for the future.
Tiffin offers an excellent place to teach and to develop one’s career in a stimulating, supportive and enjoyable education environment.

“I’ve really enjoyed Tiffin. It is much more relaxed environment than my previous school with a slightly different teaching style which overall has improved my outlook on life and my personality. Without a doubt I have met some of the kindest and most genuine people I will ever meet.”- ex-student joining the School in the Sixth Form
“Our son has taken part in so many extra curricular activities over the past 7 years … he’s played in almost every school orchestra, sung in venues across the world including the Royal Opera House, been a Ball Boy for Andy Murray in the finals and taken part in, we think, almost every sport Tiffin offers. Again, he and we are immensely grateful to all the terrific staff at Tiffin who have given him these opportunities”.- ex-parent
“It is easy to take the school for granted, but what has kept me here are the superb opportunities and the stimulus many of the pupils provide”.- current teacher
“Each pupil I met – and I chatted to several – was charming, engaging, personable, that doesn’t happen by chance”.- Visitor to the school
“As our son departs the school he certainly has an exceptional set of qualifications in his pocket, but he carries with him so much more from his time as a Tiffinian: a thirst for learning and an enquiring mind; a keen sense of self-identify; strong peer friendships as well as a bucket-full of happy memories from his schooldays.- ex-parent
“As I depart for University I would be very grateful if you could pass on my thanks to all the teachers who have helped and supported me over the last seven years and allowed me to make the most of all the fantastic opportunities I have been given.- ex-student
My Tiffin experience has exceeded every expectation I had when I first applied. From making amazing friends and having wonderful teachers, to becoming a Deputy Head Boy, I honestly could not be more grateful. As this chapter in my life closes I hope the next brings just as much joy and excitement.- Student joining us from a local school in the Sixth Form
