About Weatherhead High School A High Performing Academy

to provide a broad, balanced education designed to meet the needs and develop the strengths of the individual.

to equip all pupils with the skills to meet the challenges of the future.

to encourage self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline and develop the highest standards for each pupil.

to encourage initiatives which enhance teaching and learning, develop pupil potential and maximise the opportunity for creativity and self-expression.

to provide a stimulating and enjoyable educational experience within a caring and stable environment.

to enable pupils to develop an awareness and understanding of the needs of others within the school and the community.

Weatherhead is an 11-18 girls' comprehensive school. We not only place a great deal of emphasis on our pupils' academic achievement in the classroom but also pride ourselves on the quality of our provision in Performing Arts, in Sport, in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, our work in the community and our fundraising for charity.

We actively seek to realise the potential of each individual. We firmly believe that our school has a sound educational philosophy and is heading forward positively for the benefit of all our pupils.
