We are the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties. Many of our members teach in schools and colleges. Many provide one-to-one tuition to students with specific learning difficulties. This includes assessment of current level of knowledge and ability, planning programmes of work, delivering those programmes, advising on the broader educational programme, and liaising with other professionals. We provide a range of publications, services and advice. We are a member of the Dyslexia- SpLD Trust, a consortium of professional organisations working together to ensure good practice is maintained to support those with specific learning difficulties. We are also a member of the SASC, the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee which oversees standards in diagnostic assessment. www.patoss-dyslexia.org
