Bullying, Gaming, and Group Chats: Why Does It Matter How I Behave Online? In this lesson, students will reflect on the importance of treating others with kindness and respect whenever they interact with friends and classmates online. According to OFCOM’s latest research, 55% of 8- to 17-year-olds regularly use online games and apps like WhatsApp to chat with or hang out with friends. However, with the rise of this kind of communication, we are also seeing increasing cases of online bullying in these forums. Sometimes this is a spillover from bullying that takes place in real life, but it can also occur between friends who typically behave respectfully in person. We will discuss the importance of treating our online friends with the same level of kindness and respect that we would expect to receive ourselves, both online and in real life. We will also highlight scenarios where children can unknowingly bully their friends online, by taking teasing too far or excluding friends in online gaming situations. Finally, we will discuss strategies for managing online relationships and, where necessary, setting boundaries with friends who behave badly online. The lesson includes a starter activity that serves as a recap of the previous lesson, a video clip with reflection questions, a set of case studies to discuss, and a plenary task. Everything is editable should you wish to make amendments, but it is also fully resourced and ready to use if you want to hit the ground running. The lesson is best suited to students in Year 6 (UKS2) or possibly Year 7 (LKS3).

This fun and original assembly aids children in understanding the value of being creative in all of their endeavours, through: Understanding what creativity is, and recognising why it is such an important skill; Understanding that creativity is a trait within everyone (including themselves) that should be encouraged and harnessed; Observing some amazing examples of what creativity can result in; Learning strategies to demonstrate creativity in their own lives. This assembly is tried and tested, and has always been really well received in the past. The slides are visually engaging and well-presented, and the subject matter is tailored to the interests and needs of young people. The session also includes a fun role-play task to demonstrate how everyone can be creative and the internet link to a beautiful, thought-provoking video demonstrating the power of creativity. There are also various discussion prompts to enable children to understand how they can be creative in different areas of their own lives. Students will explore what we mean by deepfakes and malicious AI, before discovering how celebrities, politicians and citizens are falling victim of this new technology. This is a complete package that has a booklet and week by week programme for Unit one as well as an engaging 18 page booklet covering the A1 part of the spec, which you can add to or alter, getting students to print it off in advance of the lessons. There are 8 PowerPoints included covering all sections in more detail and having embedded videos and corresponding activities in the booklet to complete either as a classroom activity or a homework task. In infancy (0–2 years), the individual develops gross and fine motor skills: • the development of gross motor skills • the development of fine motor skills • milestones set for the development of the infant – sitting up, standing, cruising, walking. In early adulthood (19–45 years), the individual reaches physical maturity:  physical strength peaks, pregnancy and lactation occur  perimenopause – oestrogen levels decrease, causing the ovaries to stop producing an egg each month. The reduction in oestrogen causes physical and emotional symptoms, to include hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, loss of libido and vaginal dryness. In middle adulthood (46–65 years), the female enters menopause: • causes and effects of female menopause and the role of hormones in this o effects of the ageing process in middle adulthood. It investigates the risks associated with consuming caffeinated energy drinks as well as looking at the harmful effects of consuming too many ‘free sugars’. We will discuss the reasons why some schools felt the need to ban the drink before delving into the health risks associated with excessive caffeine consumption. The students will look at the caffeine and sugar content of a variety of drinks, reflecting on their safety, suitability for young people, as well as the moral question of whether it is right to market these products to kids and young people. Students will explore motoring and road risks, how thieves operate, how opportunistic pick-pockets try to distract you, how to avoid a physical fight, how to lose someone you think may be following you and much, much more. Created for KS4 but could be used with KS3. Contains creative, literacy-based, analysis and clip-based tasks, all editable. Includes lesson plan and the full, written scheme of work the lesson is taken from. Students will complete case study and analysis tasks, literacy tasks, creative tasks, clip tasks and much more. This lesson is taken from the new EC Publishing Complete 2024 PSHE Package which can be found at the EC Publishing website. I have created this PSHE based powerpoint and resources (worksheets are at the end of the powerpoint) for year 11 students, but it could be used with year 10 or KS5 students. It covers events such as going to a festival, going on holiday, commuting, moving home to uni and getting home from a night out. There is also a section on binge drinking and its effects on our ability to make safe decisions. The lesson links to the PSHE Association suggested Scheme of Work Planning Toolkit for key stages 3 and 4.

Simple assembly using the video from Time To Change named "Stand Up Kid" the purpose of this was to raise awareness of Mental Health Issues in our school. Feel free to remove our school logo and adapt the powerpoint. Let me know how this is received. It is worth noting that, when delivered SLT emphasised the fact that "If you wake up and can't be bothered to go to school because you don't like your maths teacher, you are not depressed" and "If you've fallen out with your friends about a party at the weekend/match of football, you are not suffering from anxiety" just to make sure you don't have an outbreak of people claiming they have a serious condition if they don't. It is, of course a useful resource for creating an environment where pupils who do have genuine concerns feel they can come forward and talk to staff/pupils about their issues.

I used this when I was giving a session to Year 11 before their GCSE exams to help them to deal with their stress. Also did breathing exercises. It went down really well.
