Attached is an assembly resource that can be used either in whole year group assemblies or as a form/registration resource during Pride month. The assembly explores the history of Pride, key figures in the Stonewall uprisings, and then the history of Pride in the UK. It goes on to talk about why we still need Pride, with statistics from both the office of national statistics and Stonewall. Finally, there is a moment to thin about how we can be good allies and a slide with some charities who students can reach out to.
There is guidance in the note sections for the teachers who are delivering the slides, and most slides have some scripting in them to aid delivery. There also some notes for teachers to edit the slides- it does not require a huge amount of editing, just making sure that the information is appropriate for your setting and your students.
