The short, animated film, shows a cat reciting David Horner’s poem, ‘Walkies’. Your children will love watching and listening to this. A copy of the text of the poem is included so that the children can follow along with the reading as well as reading it out loud themselves. It’s just an idea which shows slides my pets (easy to adapt) - asking questions about pet ownership and raising thoughts about how animals are treated. Then a single slide that shows the pros and cons of pet ownership (which was filled in following class discussion).
