These are a life saver!! I created these to match the No Nonsense Year 4 spelling unit of work. It meant I was able to put up the powerpoint and go! The slides include resources and activities for children to do. Within the download there are 6 ppts - one for each half term! Enjoy!

A valuable tool for practising phonics and dictation skills, ahead of the new specifications. This resource contains 4 sections. The first section is a grid containing common French phonics and their graphemes, with several examples of words which contain them. This can be printed and laminated for classroom display use. There is also a one page version that can be copied and stuck in students books. There is a ‘mini dictees’ version, with 2 or 3 short sentences to be completed as dictations, focusing on one phonic at a time. This then progresses to ‘midi-dictees’ which have longer translation exercises encompassing 3 or 4 of the phonics together. Finally, there is a 20 question choose the correct spelling exercise.

A printable worksheet for children to practice spelling their tricky red words. These sheets are linked to the Read Write Inc. phonics scheme. Each sheet contains the newly introduced red words for that colour level. Their are 12 sheets in total for you to download and print at home. Red, green, purple, pink and orange levels have one sheet per level. Yellow, blue and grey levels each have multiple sheets. This is a digital resource for you to print at home.

Feed the penguins. Read a word on each fish and feed it to the correct penguin. Print off and cut out each picture. Print on card or laminate to make your product last longer. This bundle allows pupils to practise their handwriting and spellings concurrently. The spellings have been sourced from the National Curriculum Statutory Spellings List for Years 3&4. There are 3 documents provided in this bundle. The 1st document provides children with one of the Y3/4 statutory spellings which is written with ‘dots’ which sit on the guidelines. Children are to trace these letters which will help with their letter formation. The 2nd document removes the guide lines, but still provides the ‘dots’ for the children. The 3rd document removes the dots and provides the student with a series of guidelines. The upper line contains a Y3/4 spelling in a cursive style as a guide for the student. The lower line is where the student should try to replicate the above example.
