Lesson plan and resources included. The lesson was taught to a class of high level primary SEND children aged 8-10 but could be used within a primary key stage 1 setting. The planning is included as well as resources, encouraging children to move around the map and speak or write directions to collect the treasure. Picture cards included if you wanted to make it into a game. The pack comes with a letter written to the class to hook them into the lesson.
This is a card round robin activity. Simply print off the 15 cards and the answer sheets and place the cards around an area. The students can then work their way around the cards. The answer of one card links to their next card which is a fun and engaging way to explore their mental maths skills.
Brighten up SATs revision with this great fun alternative to past papers! This Swash-buckling board game involves pupils moving around the board and answering past SATs questions in order to win treasure.
This pack includes the board, the rules and 32 SATs question cards with answers (you could also add your own cards by using SATs papers in the future). The last page also invites pupils to invent their own game for the students to revise with the following year (but of course they must provide answers to the questions they set!)
To play you will need to cut up the question cards (I suggest laminating them for future use) and print the board in colour for each team. I usually let the rest of the team decide if the question has been answered correctly (that way they all have to work it out!) but there is an answer sheet provided for checking if they are not sure.
You will also need counters, dice and mini whiteboards.
A fun, festive, variant on the popular Pirate Game. The rules can be found for The Pirate Game online but let me know if you cannot find them.

This is a fun countdown timer that can be used as a time management tool in any lesson. You have a choice between a 2 or 5 minute OR 15, 30, 60 or 90 second timer.
The timings can easily be altered in the animation pane to make the timer shorter or longer should you so wish.
The slide can be copied from this presentation and pasted and inserted into your own presentation if you so wish!
