I designed these puzzles to celebrate Pi day in school last year. Great way to promote mathematics across the school and with parents. Lots of fun and quite tricky. I have graded them in groups, mild, medium, hot and extreme. Try not to look at the answers too quickly.

Variety of resources for pi day activities. Updated April 2016. Includes links to classic video on history of pi and to excellent Numberphile pi videos. Also find more famous people as well as Einstein and Michael Caine who were born on pi day. A few active lesson plans taken from great Illuminations site. Finally cannot forget to include 1,000,000 digits of pi and the Freehand Circle Drawing activity! Enjoy.
