This is a three part challenging project that I complete with my Y10 students, just as they finish their initial ‘training’ on coding.
We spend a lot of time together looking at the plan for each section first.
The project is differentiated by activity, as the students complete and progress, the tasks become more difficult.

Useful for staff CPD for those looking to train themselves up on the coding side of the course.
This has been adapted from an activity that I did whilst delivering the Edexcel course and is just as relevant for that area - again, students could easily be challenged to go beyond the course and use functions and procedures, even 2D arrays and File Reading and Writing, allowing teachers to focus on supporting students finding the basics more challenging.

For some sections, I did this as a flipped homework exercise and students created the solution at home, watching the task as a series of videos, which we then completed some testing and some tasks on in class.
