(New AQA) Lesson 7: Characteristics of the Rainforest (Plants and Animals)

Students to create a spider diagram about the rainforest focusing on the layers, plants and animals. Students to write down the key idea showing the diversity of the rainforest. Students are to add the correct labels to the diagram and then explain how one plant has adapted to the forest. Students are then introduced to different ways animals have adapted. Students must then annotate how a monkey has adapted. An exam question is included that could be given as homework or completed in the lesson depending on timing. Students to create an acrostic poem to remember the layers, animals, plants and adaptations.
